Salt Lake City Keith Clark Anderson 2023 Farmington, Utah Keith Clark Anderson 1928 — 2023 Keith Clark Anderson (Poppio), born on November 9, 1928, to Mildred and Eugene Anderson in Preston, Idaho, passed away on October 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He grew up with three sisters: Elaine, LaRue, and Gloria Jean. He worked in the bakery and sugar-beet fields. He was a pole-vaulter, baseball player, and captained the Preston Indians basketball team to win the State Championship. Keith continued these sports in college at the University of Utah and then enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1945. Near the end of World War II, Keith was sent to Japan for two years. After another stint at the U of U, Keith went to work in a drug store in Las Vegas where he reconnected with Marilyn... Dale David Johnson 1943 — 2022 Dale David Johnson was born in Winder, Idaho, a small farming community north of Preston, on August 3, 1943. He was the second child and first son of David LeRoy and Enid Thomas Johnson. Dale learned the value of hard work at a young age. By the age of 8, he was already driving tractors on his family's 1400 acre ranch/farm. They had a Grade A Dairy Barn and milked 80 head of dairy cows each morning and evening. They also managed a large irrigated area and some dry land farming. Dale attended school in a two-room school house from first to eighth grade; then he was bused into Preston, Idaho for ninth to twelfth grade. He graduated from Preston High School in 1961. Farmington, Utah Jeffrey Lawrence Higginbotham 1968 — 2022 Jeff to his family, Buddha to his friends, and Bob to servers the world over was a father, a U.S Marine, and a people person. Everywhere he went, from his hometown in Horse Cave Kentucky, to the far reaches of Alaska, France, and even South Korea, Jeff had a talent for making friends out of strangers. One of Jeff's favorite hobbies was stopping to talk to just about everyone for hours at a time, often to the chagrin of his wife and daughters. He filled those hours with stories from his time as an Embassy Guard, and later tales of his escapades as a long-haul truck driver. Jan was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on Christmas Day, December 25, 1945, to E. Con and Persis Farr Thomas. He was raised in Arimo, Idaho. Jan graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1964. Farmington, Utah Heather Houston 1972 — 2020 Heather Ann Sutherland Houston 1972 ~ 2020 Heather was born on May 7, 1972 in Rexburg, Idaho and passed away June 30, 2020 in Kaysville, Utah. She is the daughter of Mike and Raline Sutherland. During her younger years, their family moved around because of her father's schooling and employment. One of her favorite places that they lived was in Tooele, where she excelled in Drama and Theater. As a sophom*ore, Heather went as an exchange student to Sweden for 11 months. She loved it there learning the language, culture and traditions. She was able to learn the language easily. After she came home she loved talking to her Swedish host family over the phone. Layton Rhea Christensen 1946 — 2020 Rhea JoAnne (Bingham) Christensen, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home in Layton, Utah on Sunday, May 10th, 2020. Daughter of Marlin Bingham and Elma (Christensen) Bingham, she was born February 18, 1946, in Blackfoot, Idaho. She is survived by three siblings: David Bingham, Janie Lamprecht, and Paul Bingham. She was married to the late H. Don Christensen of Rose, Idaho. They were the parents of four children: Kory Christensen, Kimberly Grant, Devin Christensen and Carrie Lyman. They have ten grandchildren. In light of recent restrictions, funeral services will be postponed until later in the year and held as a memorial service. A graveside... Layton David Gaylord Elgaaen 1948 — 2020 David Gaylord Elgaaen passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. David was born in Pocatello, Idaho on March 23, 1948 to Floyd and Margaret Elgaaen. David served in the Navy working as an operating room technician. He spent a big part of his life as a carpet and flooring installer and foster parent. David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving as a temple ordinance worker. David is survived by his wife, Marlene Elgaaen. A daughter, Rachael Elgaaen Kerksiek. A son, Michael Elgaaen, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by both his parents and an older brother, Richard. She grew up on a family farm in Coltman, Idaho, just north of Idaho Falls. Lureeta attended school in Coltman and Ucon, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1961.
