Cherrington was born Mar. 9, 1888, in Springville, a son of Joseph and Prudence Straw Cherrington. He married Hilda Wheeler on June 9, 1909, in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. Mr. Beesley was born Nov. 19, 1894, in Provo, a son of Thomas and Sigfid Person Beesley. He married Grace Vincent on April 19, 1916, in Provo. She died Dec.

16, 1967. He received his education in Provo schools and was valedictorian of his graduating class. Mr. Beesley worked on farms in Idaho and served on the Provo Fire Department and was employed by Provo Gas Co. Mr. Hartle was born March 6, 1900, in Charleston, a son of John Charles md Sarah Ann Stead-man Hartle. He married Verda Daybell on July 25, 1925. She died Aug. 12, 1926.

He then married Iris E. Law on Dec. 26, 1928, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. Mr.

Hartle was a retired auto mechanic, former co-owner of Fitch and Hartle Garage in Delta; ovsner of the Hartle Motor Co. in Richfield; past manager and mechanical instructor of the Richfield Municipal Airport. Survivors include his widow of Richfield; two sons and one daughter, Charles Wayne Salt Lake City; Leslie Dean, Richfield; Mrs. Rue (Gloria) Abraham, Sigurd; eight grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters. Traffic Fatality SOUTH OGDEN, Utah (UPI) A Kaysville, Utah, woman became an early 1971 traffic fatality Friday evening when she ran into a car along U.S.

89 and was killed. Dead is Joy Redden, 38. She was struck by a car driven by James Quiggle, no age listed, an airman at Hill Air Force Base. Utah Highway Patrol troopers said the woman died about 7:05 p.m. She was walking east along the highway when she ran across the roadway in front of Quiggle's eastbound auto.

1 Mi RICHARD GROESBECK Orem Man Dies in Hospital OREM Richard E. Groesbeck, 62, 27 E. 8th Orem, died Friday afternoon at the Utah Valley Hospital of a massive brain hemorrhage. He was born March 25, 1908, in Richmond, Cache a son of William Jess and Hilia McKenzie Groesbeck. He married Enid Jensen on June 7, 1932, in Nephi.

The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1935. He worked for 14 years as a pipe fitter for Geneva Steel, retiring 1961 because of a heart ailment. He lived in Utah most of his life, but lived also in Idaho and Washington. He wt a member of the US. Steelworkers of America and the Orem Lions Club.

He was an Elder in the IDS Church. Survivors include his widow of Orem; four sons and one daughter, Dean J. Groesbeck, Logan, Robert K. Groesbeck, Lingle, Mrs. Calvin (Joan) Smith, Allen J.

Groesbeck and Phillipe P. Groesbeck, all of Orem; 20 grandchildren; four sisters, Jessie Britz, California; Marian Hales, Spanish Fork; Louise Rodgers and Helen Campbell, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Burton Groesbeck, Springville; C. Lyman Groesbeck, Seattle, Wash. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Orem Seventh Ward Chapel, 1090 N.

12, 1879, in Mayfield, Sanpete a daughter of Thomas A. and Jane Edwards Williams. She married George W. Petty on Oct. 11, 1899, in the Manti Temple.

He died April 16, 1928. Mrs. Petty received her early education in Fremont, Utah, schools mi lived for many years in Emery County. She operated the general store at Mountain Home, duch*esne and lived in Gunnison for 25 years. She had also lived in Salt Lake City.

Active in the IDS Church, she held positions in the Relief Society and YWMIA. Survivors include three sons and six daughters, Lloyd Petty, Mrs. Lloyd (Alta) Pingo and Zina Dorothy Broadhead, all of Orem; Leland F. Petty, Hawthorne, Rulon H. Petty, St.

George; Armida P. Hanberg, Mesa, Mrs. Tony (Geniel) Baione, Price; Mrs. Gerald (Eunice) Stott, Fairfield; Mrs. Dick (Madge) Pingree, Sandy; 37 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren.

and Lydia Brown Lund. She married S. Alma Kirk on Aug. 21, 1914, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a school teacher and housewife.

She was an active member of the IDS Church, living in the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward at the time of her death. She was a member of the Mothers Study Club and of the DUP. Survivors include her husband, Pleasant Grove; one son and two daughters, Warren P. Kirk, China Lake, Mrs. Katherine Woolf, Pleasant Grove; Mrs.

Bill (Emmeline) Wiithlin, Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon in the Tim-panogos Stake House. and Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi Cemetery. Springville Man Shot While On Hunting Trip SPRINGVILLE Rodney Slater, 23, 1414 N. 3rd Provo, was treated and released at the Utah Valley Hospital for a gunshot wound in the elbow on Friday. Mr.

Slater was injured when he stepped in front of a companion while the two were duck hunting south of Springville Friday morning. He was taken to the hospital by his companion, Charles B. Tolson, 1277 N. 3rd Provo. CLARENCE BEESLEY After his marriage he purchased the Second Ward Grocery in Provo in 1921, selling it in 1932 when he was made district representative of the Federal Home Owner Loan Co.

He later moved to Salt Lake City and became assistant state manager your NEED AUTO A. W. CHERRINGTON one of the organizers of the Springville-Mapleton Fruit Growers Association. He served eight years as a director and in 1940 as president of the Utah Poultry Producers Association. He retired in 1952.

Prominent in community affairs, Mr. Cherrington served as mayor of Springville from 1954 to 1958. He served as a Kolob IDS Stake high councilman for 17 years, beginning in 1928, except for five years spent as Bishop of the Springville First IDS Ward from 1930 to 1935. He also served as president of the YMMIA in his ward and as chairman of the building committee. Surviving are his widow of Springville; two sons and three daughters, A.

Bert Cherrington and Mrs. W. Blaine (Captola) Murdock of Springville; Jack A. Cherrington of Areata, Mrs. Glen F.

(Carol) Clark of Snowflake, and Mrs. Jane C. Norton of Omaha, 23 grandchildren; 31 greatgrandchildren; one brother and one sister, J. Melvin Cherrington of Spring Dell, Provo Canyon; and Mrs. Byron (Marie) Men-denhall of Payson.

Former Provo Resident Dies In California SAN JOSE, Calif. Ree Guymon Higgins, San Jose, 76, former resident of Provo, died Friday evening at a hospital in San Jose, of a heart attack. She was born in October, 1894, in Richfield, a daughter of Peter M. and Harriet Shawcroft Guymon. She married George H.

Higgins. They lived in Provo for many years. Survivors include her hisshand, San Jose; two sons and two daughters, Ronald Higgins, Redwood City, Lloyd Higgins, Gilroy, Mrs. A. William (Alice) Nelson, Provo; Mrs.

Ray (Thelma) Christopherson, Spring Lake; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; one brother, Glen Guymon, Santa Rosa, one sister, Delia Higgins, Provo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 ajn. at a mortuary in Gilroy, where burial will also take place. Salt Lake Native Dies in Orem William Bouton, 84, 1341 W. 1460 Provo, died in an Orem rest home at 4 a.m.

Saturday. Born May 24, 1886, in Salt Lake City, he was the son of Homer A. and Nancy Foote Bouton. He was a member of the IDS Church. Mr.

15, 1885, in American Fork, a son of John and Hannah Hansen Conder. He married Hilda Strong on Feb. 12, 1908, in Provo; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She died on Nov. 14, 1952.

Mr. Conder was an employee cf the Utah Power and Light Co. for 48 years. He was a member of the IDS Church, living in the Edgemont Ward at the time of his death. Survivors include five daughters and two sons, John C.

He was born Sept. 8, 1886, in Lehi, a son of Lott and Sarah Eunice Titcomb Russon. He married Fern Jennette Brown on June 25, 1914, in Salt Lake City; she died in June, 1970. Mr. Russon was active in the IDS Church, holding the office of High Priest at his death.

He filled three missions, was a temple worker and counselor in the Bishopric. He was a farmer and served as director and secretary of the Mitchell Hollow Irrigation Co. Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Arland Stanford Lisle T. and Lavell D. Russon and Mrs.
